The Children’s Center at Carolina Park offers a number of different pre-school programs in a school year / summer cycle to accommodate today’s busy families. Starting each year in mid-August and running through late May, the children will be engaged in the routines of a traditional school year. When summer arrives in June, each day’s activities will stand alone - so missing a few days here and there doesn’t leave your kid feeling lost.

FULL-DAY (F-D)
Full-Day programs provide the maximum coverage for your children year-round – and give you the greatest flexibility in planning your schedule. Full-Day programs for the youngest children follow a 12 month schedule. Full-Day programs for older children give families the choice of a 12 month schedule with summer classes included or a 10 month schedule with no summer classes available. The Center will be open Monday-Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm to accommodate early or late office hours. During the school year, classroom activities run from 8:30 to 3:30. HALF-DAY (H-D)
Half-Day pre-school programs operate from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon Monday – Friday, from mid August to late May. Half-Day programs for Twos, Threes and Fours follow a 10 month schedule. This gives children and their parents the best of both worlds. Mornings are spent in a structured pre-school environment with friends their own age, and then children can have lunch and afternoon rest time at home. The half-day program helps many children get used to cooperating and playing in a group setting before heading off to kindergarten. [details]

SUMMER CLASSES
For children that are currently enrolled in The Children’s Center, we provide the same high-quality experiences in summer as during the school year – but everything moves at a little slower pace. In the summer months the fun starts about 9:00 am and goes ‘til 3:00 pm, but drop off and pick up times are still between 6:30am and 6:00 pm. Daily classroom activities stand alone so missing a day here or there doesn’t keep your child from keeping up with the crowd. This is a chance for your child to experience new activities, maybe try different supplemental learning options and meet new friends.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Children's Center is pleased to offer an After School Program for the 2008-2009 school year to those kids attending Laurel Hill in K-2nd grades.  The program will run daily from 3-6pm, except on early release days.  Bus service will be provided from Laurel Hill to The Children's Center and forms may be picked up at Laurel Hill to reserve your child's spot on the bus. SUPPLEMENTAL ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES
In addition to the core curriculum offered year-round by the pre-school, children may enroll in on-site enrichment activities offered by outside partners who bring their “classrooms” to us. We are pleased to offer supplemental opportunities in art, music and physical education. These activities provide in-depth exploration in the topic and are available to families for an additional charge paid directly to the provider.
